Nate Davis spent a year and a half in Chicago with the Bears. During that time, the guard was mostly sidelined with various injuries. When he did bother to play, he wasn’t that good. Things reached a breaking point over the past month. Davis was benched in favor of backup Matt Pryor. Then, as injuries mounted, it looked like he might get a chance to play against New England last week. He practiced all week with no issues. Then, right before the game, he complained of back problems. The Bears deactivated him and cut him the following week.
