TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has more Highway 24 construction projects on the agenda for Topeka.
The first of two bridge projects will be the bridges over Northwest Goodyear Road. Once that's done, they'll tackle the Stover road bridges that allow travel over Highway 24. Steve Baalman is the KDOT engineer responsible for the Topeka metropolitan area. He told 27 News the bridges are old and maintenance has become too expensive. He said replacing the bridges is the best option.
