LHC seeks long-term policy to control smog
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has observed that a long-term policy is needed to control smog, directing the Punjab government to take actions beyond mere paperwork.
Hearing environment-related petitions on Tuesday, Justice Shahid Karim remarked that the federal government should also be roped in to address the issue that plagues Punjab.
Advocate General for Punjab (AGP) Khalid Ishaq and provincial Secretary of Transport Department Ahmed Javed Qazi also appeared before the court.
