The first cast member for the Harry Potter television series appears to have been found!

It’s being reported that Oscar winner Mark Rylance is being eyed for the role of Professor Dumbledore in HBO’s upcoming seven-season series.

Variety reports that Mark is “at the top of the casting wishlist” for the project. He “hasn’t yet entered into negotiations with the actor, but the studio has reached out to gauge interest and availability.”
