Columbus man sentenced to prison for assaulting officers during Jan. 6 Capitol riot

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- An Ohio man is going to prison after admitting to assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol.

Kyle Andrew Campbell, 31, of Columbus, was sentenced to four months in prison, four months of home confinement, 36 months of supervised release and ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution by a U.S. District court on Nov. 1. He pleaded guilty to a felony charge of assaulting, resisting or impeding certain offices in July.
