(NEXSTAR) – A Delta flight bound for the Washington D.C.-area was diverted Wednesday because of an odor reported in the flight deck.
A Delta spokesperson confirmed to Nexstar that Flight 850 from Atlanta was diverted to Raleigh-Durham International in North Carolina "out of an abundance of caution" because of the odor.
Passengers and crew had to deplane and board a new aircraft, but Delta said Thursday the source of the odor is still not confirmed.
