Sarah McBride Makes US History Again, Becomes First Openly Trans Person Elected to Congress
Sarah McBride has become a projected winner in Delaware!
The 34-year-old activist and Democratic politician was running in the 2024 election for Delaware’s at-large congressional district after Dem. Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester announced she was running for Senate.
On Election Night (November 5), AP called the race with Sarah winning 57.7% of the vote, becoming the first transgender person to be elected to US Congress!
