AUSTIN (KXAN) — Looking to get rid of your extra Halloween candy? A few local and national groups are collecting candy to send to troops overseas.

Here's a few groups collecting your extra Snickers, Smarties, Starbursts and the like:

Treats for Troops

San Antonio-based nonprofit Soldiers' Angels coordinates with businesses and organizations to create drop-off sites for excess Halloween candy. The groups then send candy to Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals, military installations and guard or reserve units.
