New arrest in drug trafficking case

The Paphos drugs squad (Ykan) has made a further arrest in connection with a drug trafficking case from May, it announced on Friday.

During investigations into a case of illegal possession of drugs with the intent to supply, evidence emerged against the 33-year-old. A judicial arrest warrant was issued against him and he was arrested at around 1pm on Thursday.

The investigation of the case began after 10.71kg of cannabis and a loaded gun were found at the residence of a 34-year-old man on May 7.
