Plea by seven offshore crypto exchanges to restart India operations to be heard this week

India's Financial Intelligence Unit will review petitions from seven offshore crypto exchanges, including Bitfinex and Kraken, to resume operations. These exchanges were banned for non-compliance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. They must adhere to KYC norms, report suspicious transactions, and pay penalties and pending taxes before resuming operations.
