Governor needn't hear Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah before granting nod for probe: SG

The Karnataka High Court adjourned hearings to Monday on Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot's sanction to prosecute CM Siddaramaiah in a land allotment scam. Solicitor general Tushar Mehta contended that pre-investigation sanction does not require the principles of natural justice. Calls for an independent probe and accusations of perjury were also raised.
