Angelenos could soon see their sewer bills increase – starting with a 22% fee hike in October and increasing several more times over the next four years until their bills are more than twice what they’re paying today – if the Los Angeles City Council adopts a new service charge rate schedule.
The council will hold a public hearing about the proposed rate increases during its 10 a.m. meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 27, though it’s not expected to vote on the proposal that day.
