TOPEKA (KSNT) - The City of Topeka has picked up almost 28,000 cubic yards of debris from a recent storm.
A severe storm rolled through the capital city Aug. 14, leaving debris strewed across town. The city announced that crews started cleaning up debris in Oakland, north Topeka and Potwin Aug. 19, and cleaned throughout the week. A spokesman with the City of Topeka announced in a news release that so far, contractors have picked up and hauled away 27,748 cubic yards of debris.
