A Republican mayor joined a few other Republicans on Tuesday night in supporting Kamala Harris for president, and in doing so, accused his party of being "kidnapped" by extremists — and of turning into a cult.
John Giles, the Republican mayor of Mesa, once again gave a rousing speech to Democrats denouncing his longtime party's direction under the MAGA leader.
Giles joked to the crowd that he's a "lifelong Republican" and felt "a little out of place" at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
