NEW YORK, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A number of road closures will make way for music and dance during the annual Dominican Day Parade on Sunday.
In its 42nd year the parade will celebrate Merengue music and its impact on Dominican identity. The fun kicks off at 12 p.m. on Sixth Avenue and 37th Street but it will bring a number of closures in the surrounding area both before and after the parade.
Timing for the closures are at the discretion of the New York Police Department.
