AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A city of Austin memo released Thursday provided more details about an overview for off-site dog boarding, which is currently being utilized by Austin Animal Services (ASO).
The ASO used the off-site dog boarding as a way to help clear space at the Austin Animal Center (AAC). These facilities serve as a shelter for dogs "due to space constraints at the shelter," Chief Animal Services Officer Don Bland said in the memo.
This was meant to be a short term solution, according to the city.
