UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- The Utica Zoo is in mourning on Tuesday, August 6 after the recent passing of two of their long-time animal residents.
Zeke the zebu -- a subspecies of cattle from South Asia -- and Najla the Bactrian camel recently passed away at the zoo after 13 and 19 years there, respectively. According to the zoo, Zeke was recently euthanized due to age-related arthritis, while Najla passed away due to age-related health problems.
