AUSTIN (KXAN) — As gymnastics and swimming ramp down after an electric first week of the 2024 Paris Olympics, track and field emerges as the big ticket for the remainder of the Games.
The U.S.' Noah Lyles won the men's 100-meter dash in a photo finish, crossing the line five-thousandths of a second faster than Jamaica's Kishane Thompson, setting up a potential double-gold for Lyles if he can win the 200 later this week. If he does, he'd be the first American to accomplish the feat since Carl Lewis in 1984.
