Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is among those who have been named as possible running mates for Vice President Kamala Harris. He was on a list that included Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY), Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA), and Gov. Roy Cooper (D-N.C.) until Cooper withdrew from consideration.
But for David M. Perry, journalist and historian, Walz is the one.
"If it happens, I’ll be thrilled. I’m a Minnesotan and have watched Walz since he started running for governor in the 2018 election," wrote Perry in an MSNBC column.
