The Venezuelan Electoral Committee has announced the results of the country’s presidential election, revealing that Nicolás Maduro has retained his position as President of Venezuela.
According to preliminary results released late on Sunday, July 28th, Nicolás Maduro secured 51.2% of the votes from 80% of the counted ballots, while his opponent received 44.2% of the votes.
