A neighborhood in Simi Valley was evacuated on Wednesday, July 3, after a brush fire quickly grew to more than 130 acres, authorities said.
The blaze named the Sharp fire started around 2 p.m. in the area around Sharp Road and Ditch Road. It quickly burned about five acres and threatened nearby homes, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.
