PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Public health officials issued a warning for high toxin levels at Lacamas Lake in Washington on Wednesday, meaning the water won't be safe for swimming or drinking over the holiday weekend.
A surplus of harmful algae has increased the level of cyanotoxins in the water, which can be dangerous for humans and especially harmful for children – or even deadly for pets.
