Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) said he expects to be in the Senate "in a few years" when asked about being a potential running mate for former President Trump, but said he was "very interested" in the role.
Vance is one of the few people remaining on Trump's short list for vice president if he is reelected. He has remained tight-lipped about his conversations with the former president, saying on CBS's "Face the Nation" that people should focus on Trump's successes instead of who he will choose as his vice president.
