Rep. Jamaal Bowman was unsuccessful in his bid to secure a second term in Congress — the progressive Democrat was bested by Westchester County Executive George Latimore, according to The Associated Press.

Bowman had been in an entrenched duel with Latimore in a contest that raised and shelled out $25 million — making it the most expensive congressional primary in history.
