DRIVERS are being urged to double check their insurer’s website before handing over personal details following a surge in online insurance scams.
Thousands of motorists are believed to have lost thousands of pounds after unwittingly handing personal details to fraudsters posing as their insurer, according to the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
