The New York Mets lost 6-3 in Cleveland, and four of the Mets affiliates already played early Wednesday games. Still, two-way player Nolan McLean is the biggest attraction in the Mets minor leagues.
On Tuesday, the 23-year-old made his Double-A debut for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies as the designated hitter. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and did not strike out. The last part feels pretty important and something to monitor going forward as the only weak spot he showed in High-A Brooklyn with a 51% strikeout rate.
