TOPEKA (KSNT) - May is a time to be aware that mental health assistance is readily available in Kansas.
27 News spoke with Drew Adkins, the state's commissioner of Behavioral Health Services, about why mental health awareness is important this month.
"So, the individuals know where to get help," Adkins said. "Particularly those that may not have insurance or may be underinsured and may not have the resources or the time."
