A man was killed in a fiery plane crash in Georgia on Thursday shortly after taking off for Connecticut.
The single-engine Beechcraft 36 crashed in a residential neighborhood in Augusta shortly after 7 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA said the pilot was the only person onboard during the crash, which led to a fire. The blaze was put out by local fire crews.
According to the FAA, the place crashed “under unknown circumstances.”
