The 1964 QPR Home Game v Walsall was abandoned following a Fire at Battersea Power Station

On 20th April 1964, QPR took on Walsall at Loftus Road. The match kicked off at 7.30pm but it was abandoned after just 26 minutes.

A fire at Battersea Power Station caused power failures throughout parts of London.

The BBC were due to launch BBC Two that night, but it had to be delayed until the following morning.
