Sandra O’Connor to lie in repose at Supreme Court on Dec. 18

The late Justice Sandra Day O’Connor will lie in repose at the Supreme Court on Dec. 18, the court announced Tuesday.

As is tradition, O’Connor’s body will be brought to the Great Hall — located outside the main entrance to the courtroom — where the public can pay respects from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The court said it will hold a private ceremony earlier that morning.

O’Connor’s funeral will be held the following day, Dec. 19, at the Washington National Cathedral.
