Saints’ Derek Carr In Concussion Protocol for Second Time This Season
Saints quarterback Derek Carr has endured a rough season in terms of injuries.
The veteran quarterback was hit hard on multiple plays during Sunday’s 33–28 loss to the visiting Lions, and one particular hit by Detroit defensive end Bruce Irvin caused Carr to remain on the ground and receive medical attention. He exited the game and didn’t return.
New Orleans coach Dennis Allen announced Monday that Carr is in concussion protocol for the second time in the past month. He also is being evaluated for rib injury.
