Major legislation to replace IPC, CrPC, Evidence Act among 18 Bills listed for winter session of Parliament

The Central government has listed 18 bills for consideration during the upcoming winter session of Parliament, which will take place from December 4 to 22. The proposed Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Bill 2023 aim to replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) of 1973, and the Indian Evidence Act of 1872.
