Is Macy’s coming to a strip mall near you? Retailer will open 30 scaled-down locations nationwide

The pivot comes as declining shopping mall traffic has forced many locations to shutter.

Soon, you won’t have to hit the mall to visit a Macy’s store—or a smaller, revamped version of the retailer, that is. You’ll be able to pop in on your way out of Target, Walmart, or Home Goods.
