A murder investigation has been launched after a woman in her 50s was found with ‘multiple injuries’.

Police were called to Redcar Road in Blackpool shortly before 11pm on Thursday to a report of an unexpected death.

The victim has been identified as Alison Dodds.

Patrols have now been stepped up in the area and police are treating her death as suspicious.
