'Visitor's Awards' shifted from Rashtrapati Bhavan to Education Ministry

So far, it was the Rashtrapati Bhavan that had driven and decided upon the whole process for the 'Visitor's Awards', right from inviting online applications from all central universities for various categories to vetting them, selecting and conferring the awards. A May 23 notification issued by the President's Secretariat said that the President approved the "transfer of work related to Visitor's Awards, from 8th Visitor Awards onwards, to the ministry of education".
