P-notes investment hits 4-month high of Rs 95,911 crore in April
Participatory notes issued by registered foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) to overseas investors wanting to participate in the Indian stock market have hit a seven-month high, reaching INR95,911 crore ($12.9bn) at the end of April. They are primarily being used as a tool by investors looking to benefit from India's record economic growth. In addition, FPIs invested INR11,631 crore in Indian equities in April and INR806 crore in the debt market.
