Karnataka Polls: JDS MLA from Hassan district resigns, seeking future in Congress

JDS MLA KM Shivalinge Gowda from Arasikere has resigned from his assembly membership, becoming the second JDS leader from the Karnataka district of Hassan to depart in recent weeks. Gowda is expected to join Congress and contest from the same seat. BJP's NY Gopalakrishna and JDS's SR Srinivas have also resigned, while AT Ramaswamy has quitted JDS and is likely to contest from his constituency as BJP's candidate.
