Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley had barely broken a sweat in his main event fight against Gilbert Burns on Saturday night before he was down on the ground with a pool of blood collecting behind his head.
An opening flurry from Burns put Woodley on the canvas and the Brazilian followed up with a barrage of ground-and-pound strikes. That included one slicing elbow that opened a gruesome cut over Woodley’s left eye.
