Disease kills 70 cattle heads in Kendrapada
Over 70 cattle have perished in Kendrapada's Aul block due to amphistomes, or 'Kurmi' disease. Symptoms include severe diarrhoea, weight loss, and swelling. Veterinary officials attribute the outbreak to dry summer conditions forcing cattle to consume dry grass and leaves. Rapid response teams are investigating, with samples sent for analysis. Farmers are advised to provide green fodder and water.
