'Shocked' members mull legal action after Centre asks Delhi Gymkhana to vacate premises by June 5
The Centre has ordered the Delhi Gymkhana Club to vacate its Lutyens' Delhi premises by June 5. The land is needed for defence infrastructure and public security. Members are fuming and considering legal action. The club, established in 1913, has around 11,000 members. The Land and Development Office will take possession of the 27.3-acre plot.
