High wind warning: 70-mph gusts possible on Oregon Coast

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the central and southern half of the Oregon coast Friday as 40 to 50-mph winds and 70-mph gusts will be possible.

The advisory will remain in effect from Friday morning to Friday evening. The advisory extends from the Reedsport area in Douglas County to the California border in Curry County.

Alleged UFO over Oregon caused pilots to divert

Drivers are advised to use caution on Highway 101 in southern Oregon on Friday.
