Cyprus’ unemployment rate rose to 6.8 per cent during the first quarter of 2023, despite the increase in the number of employed individuals, compared to 6.6 per cent in the same quarter of 2022, according to a report released on Wednesday by the state’s statistical service.
The number of unemployed individuals reached 33,394 (men 6.3 per cent, women 7.3 per cent), compared to 31,305 people in the corresponding quarter of 2022.
